MAREDO Steakhaus - Hamburg Millerntorplatz in Hamburg

We went here for dinner on 10/28/2020! Mega respect !! The aladen was well stocked in accordance with Corona rules and the waiter, who greeted and instructed the people, was also responsible for ordering food, preparing drinks and bringing them to the guest, bringing food out and cashing them in the whole restaurant. He was always friendly and funny. The waiting times weren't long and the food was very tasty and recommended. The steak was on point. So after the lock down we should support places like this so that they don't break!

Friendly service, delicious food and a good price. As always, we were very satisfied with Maredo. Clearly to be recommended.

We had a grill plate for two with lamb, beef and chicken. That was a good portion in itself, but it was still quite expensive. The food itself was delicious, but the chicken was very dry, which is critical with such a price. It was also negative or questionable that we were only completely alone in the restaurant and after 2 other people came into the restaurant, were seated at the table next to us. Of course, with some distance, but since the whole restaurant was really empty, this was not entirely understandable. And the restaurant is really not small. Overall, of course, it could have been an unfortunate individual case, but I would still not make a recommendation given the price-performance ratio. Together with the dry chicken and the rather questionable behavior, I would rather advise against the restaurant.

We had ordered a starter for 2 people. Unfortunately we had to find out that there was only 1 shrimp skewer, but 3 chicken pieces. Doesn't suit me, it should be offered for 1 person. Otherwise it is very noisy there. The hygiene concept was implemented very well and our waiter was very attentive

One last time for the next 4 weeks. My parents were regular guests with me in Blankenese. Today everything was fine again.

The food tasted very good here and the atmosphere is also very pleasant. We had a grill plate for two and were satisfied. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry, but otherwise everything was fine. The service was also very friendly.

Despite a longer wait, everything was very good. Your waiters were all in a good mood, which made the evening very entertaining. And the food was very good too.

After a short wait, we were picked up at the entrance and smelled to choose a place. (Of course, as usual in 2020, we had to disinfect our hands and fill out a slip of paper.) Our drinks came quickly and the food was there faster than we could eat it. (We had the starter for two and the platter for two.) Overall, it was actually more than plentiful. Well, we, two slim average men, are more than satisfied. The service was attentive and friendly. The man who picked us up at the entrance had a dry sense of humor, I like it. I am happy. PS .: Note for everyone who complains about waiting times, we were here at 5 p.m. and, as written, only a short wait at the entrance.

Today we went to eat at Maredo in Hamburg again and were more than satisfied! Especially the excellent service from Mr. Anil Talwar was terrific! Every wish was promptly fulfilled! We would love to come back! The food is ALWAYS excellent!

Today we ate your burger menu one last time. But we will be back anyway, because everything was very good with you the last time. Your waiter Andreas was also very nice and friendly.

Food was acceptable, but sinewy rump steak. The food was also not served with all the ingredients that were described on the menu and not all side dishes were available. By and large, an experience that doesn't necessarily have to be repeated.

The quality of the food was very high, as we are used to from the Maredo chain. The staff was friendly, but seemed a little overwhelmed. The corona concept can be expanded, so the distances are maintained, but all customers are still grouped as closely as possible in order to save unnecessary waiter trips. As a consequence, 3/4 of the restaurant is empty. The bacteria devices that also dry hands with hot air could also be replaced in the toilet. Back to the meal, the fillet steak was on point English and flawless. The side dishes (french fries, potato wedges and sweet potato fries) are also recommended without exception. A price highlight are the kids' menus for the younger guests. The creme brulee tastes good, however comes in refrigerator temperature. The well-known delicious salad buffet is currently out of order due to the pandemic.

It took a little longer than usual, but it was worth it. Our starter, as well as our main courses, tasted very, very good. The gentlemen from the service were quick, friendly and competent. Gladly again.

Waiter easily overwhelmed. Asked twice when I get my wine. At the starter there was no mention of the prawns. And it wasn't busy. Otherwise the food was ok.

Unfortunately today we had to wait 70 minutes for our food in the non-air-conditioned indoor area. 3 days earlier the restaurant was just as busy and it only took 15 minutes. The guests at the next table came after us today, had more elaborate meals and were able to leave the restaurant before us.

We are still sitting with you, and have just eaten very tasty. The salmon was great. So did my friend's steak. Everyone was very friendly, although they must have suffered from the masks in the warmth.

Very bad! First the chicken Wings where cold on the inside that's not a great way to start youre meal. Then the steak was really undercooked! Our host was a unpleasant Guy really rude after we said the chicken was cold. Do not spend youre money here

My steak was grilled twice... and after all they couldn't get it medium well!

What a terrible experience my partner and me has dinner in this restaurant. We were waiting for about an hour for some basic dishes: the day soup and a vegetarian fajita. Well, when the fajita arrive it was hard and cracking in the process of filling it (I had to do it myself) and at the same time boiled and with a really bad texture in some other parts of the wrap. The waitress recognized that it was not even eatable and compensated me with some white bread and salad from the buffet. But I had to pay for the uneatable fajita anyway, and it is not specially cheap. By the way, the soup was forgotten and had to ask for it again a couple of minutes later. The restaurant was almost empty, so no excuses for all these troubles. I was surprised, as they are one restaurant of the Maredo chain but still manage to screw a simple order so badly. At the end, even after I kept the good manners with the waitress in this whole nightmare, she turned her attitude to quite rude. I won't recommend this place to anyone. There are pretty good alternatives around, I'd encourage anyone to stay away of this restaurant.

Ok but no more than that

This is a German chain restaurant for steaks and the overall quality is decent, however, there's nothing that really stands out either. The prices are average, so not cheap but not expensive either. The place and decor is nice, but nothing special. The biggest problem is, that the service is super slow, even for German standards, we had to wait quite a long time for every step of the way, from getting the menus to ordering to actually receiving the foods and drinks, but of course the most irritating is that we had to wait over half an hour for the bill, and we asked three times for it. And the restaurant wasn't even busy. The servers were nice and friendly, so I think it's more of a problem of how it's organised or not organised than anything. In any case, even this chain restaurant has a sister chain of steak restaurants that has more interesting options in same price range and nearby locations, and in general any other steak restaurant nearby will probably be a better choice in some way.

Terrible service and the waiter tested our patience really hard to make it a tough experience. The food was good but unfortunately will never visit again due to the bad hospitality my friends and i received.

Normally when we go to Germany we love going to Maredo because it's always very good, always friendly staff.. This time they gave the menu and said a lot of things were out, but not the things we wanted not so we stayed. Then they told us some of them weren't available either.. I can understand that it is possible, but in such big chain it's hard to believe they let it come that far. Staff wasn't friendly and there weren't a lot of choices. Nope thise was one of the big let downs..

Looked decent, not special, but definitely like good food. We sat down for some food and drinks. After 10minutes of waiting we asked for a menu, which we decided to pick up ourselves after another 10minutes. Eventually after trying to order multiple times -but being forgotten about every single time - we decided to leave. When we attempted to explain why we were leaving: "we have been waiting to order a drink for 30mins". We did not get an apology, but instead a: "that cannot be possible, you are lying" Might be good food, no clue, service is unfriendly.

The fillet may be overcooked from medium to almost well done, and there is no stir fried mushrooms available in the salad bar. The service is good and friendly.

We visited Maredo on a not very buysy Tuesday evening. The food was ok, but the staff were very disorganized. The tables outside were mostly left and not cleaned, at the same time 2 of the staff didn’t have much to do inside.

Great place for a bite. Steaks are great for the price, not he best ever. Burgers are awesome. so tasteful ... Minus is the salatbar, not the best, and frankly kind of boring. Staff is so great and sweet and they get 5 stars.

We had one of the worst experience. First we had to wait about 40 min for our steaks, and when they arrived they were insanely small. And when we had to leave to catch our train, they didn't give us the bill, so we had to wait another 25 minits. I hardly recommend NOT to eat at this place!
